Someone to call my lover

I got the title idea from the Janet Jackson song with the same title.

The concept is supposed to be: A young woman waits pensively for her lover to come and see her.
It actually does have a personal connection, though I've never actually had a boyfriend. But it's something that I can see myself doing.

I'm wondering, do any other girls/women ever do something like that?
